They say it's your birthday, Dude!
My brother is turning 30 this month and we affectionately call each other 'dude'. So when this "So Cool" stamp set was on sale last month, I thought I had to buy it (plus it's good for teenagers bdays and I have a few of those coming up too).
I was hoping Kristina Werner's color challenge would coincide with this birthday card I wanted to make and so since there's no pink or girly colors involved, I thought it would work. The most challenging color to include turned out to be Old Olive, but I think it looks ok just adding that hint of color with the photo corner pieces.
Last year I did a poker-themed card and a year before that it was husker themed so at least I'm doing something different. I need to get back into the swing of making cards. I haven't been in my craft room an awful lot lately due to everyone being sick, cleaning up after the holidays and just generally getting caught up on housework (which I try to do before having fun in my studio).
Tomorrow I'm posting my holiday thank you cards. I used one of my older cards as inspiration but I changed up several things about it - I think I actually improved it but I'll let you guys be the judge.

STAMPS: So Cool, Birthday Greetings (SU) CARDSTOCK: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Urban Garden DP, Stamper's Select White INK: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango (the pumpkin on top of pumpkin didn't look as good) EXTRAS: Cupcake punch (Martha Stewart), corner rounder punch, fiskars deckle scissors, photo corner punch, Baja Breeze double stitched ribbon, paper piercing kit, stickles (orange).
Very cute! Is the "Dude" a stamp? I love it!

Love this card! A girlfriend and I start every email to each other with "Dude..." - Now I wish I had this set to make her this card! {She's not a girly girl so the colors would be perfect for her as well ;)}
